Wednesday June 17 - Adrians

Phil arrived at Heathrow after a long layover in Frankfurt from Sydney.  Flight was delayed out of Singapore and hence missed the connection.  Bus from Heathrow to Woking was easy and then train to Haselmere was easy too.  Kim picked Phil up from the station and drove to Adrians - Cherry Tree Cottage, Henley for late lunch and wonderful catch up.

Thursday June 18 - Cherry Tree Cottage, Midhurst Castle

Picked up suit for Ascot from Midhurst hire and then walked around the local castle, visited the castle farm house for cheese and olive tasting.

Friday June 18 - Ascot

Off to the races.  Amazing occasion.  Bec joined us early in the morning.  Adrian kindly arranged a car to take all of us - and storage for Kim and Phils Back Packs since they're heading to Norway Saturday and Heathrow is close to Ascot.  Ally (Adrians friend and horse trainer) provided outstanding tips for the races with 5 winners from 6 races.

Absolutely crazy exit from Ascot.  Virtually no public transport, crazy people bargaining for taxis.  After 2 hours Kim and Phil finally caught a taxi to Sheraton Heathrow.
