Scott 24 Mt Stromlo - October 11-12, 2009

Yarro and Graham spent Friday evening on the mountain after setting up camp.  JohnO and Phil headed down early Saturday with a stop at the old faithful Maccas for coffee on the way. 

The campsite was perfect.  Graham and Yarro arranged to get us into the site close to the start.  Nice and level with a good view close to the dirt road.

Graham was first out with a casual start.  No need to run when you can walk. 

We all ran the 19k daylight track at about 1 hour 10.  The daylight track is a combination of the old Blue and Red laps with a connection off the back of the mountain called Pork Barrel off Rollercoaster.  Good fun drop.

The night track included the amazing downhill on the camp side of the mountain.

The 24 was more an 18 for us with comfortable sleeping from just after midnight, when Phil came in, until about 6 when JohnO headed out again.
