Gold Coast

Gold Coast, Country NSW and Victoria - 2002

Plenty happened for all of us during September and October 2002. Trip to the Gold Coast, Brons wedding, drive to Melbourne and back with stops in Melbourne, Ballarat (to look at trees), Echuca, Narrandera, Parkes, Bogan (for the Church Charity Day), Dubbo and Wellington. Phew!! ... It was big trip and as Nicole says "the best holiday every".

Let's start with the trip to the Gold Coast to see Aurora and catch up with Kevin and Jacque before Brons wedding. We arrived on the Friday morning in Brisbane and drove down in a hire car to stay at the Sheraton Mirage. Now this is a nice place. Better than the Hyatt we all thought with an Ocean view. That night we were supposed to meet Kevin and Jacque at a restaurant in Tedder Avenue. As it turned out Jacque's dress fitting was taking longer than planned and she wasn't well.

On the Saturday we shopped at Pacific Fair then went to look at Kevin and Jacques new house and the townhouse they will move into soon. Jacque was still sick.

Sunday we had fun around the hotel at the beach before heading to Aurora again. Monday was relaxing around the pool, Pacific Fair (again!) and back to Brisbane for the flight home.

On the Tuesday night back in Sydney we had rehearsals for Bron and Pauls wedding then dinner down in Manly at the Rump and Rib.

Friday was the big day. A little rain in the afternoon but by the time of the wedding it was clear. Bron was so happy and excited.

Oh! By the way, Stephen Bradbury, the ice skating Gold winner from the Winter Olympics is Brookes boyfriend. Nicole and Bec got to meet him before the wedding. Cool!

Saturday we packed and Sunday we woke up early for the drive to Melbourne via Albury to see Gail and Roger.
